It’s time for another instalment of our From Our Families series…, where we meet some of the parents using Onoco and see how they’re using the app on their individual journeys!

Today, we’d like to introduce you to the Gutierrez Family

The Gutierrez Family

Thanks so much for speaking to us today; could you give us a quick introduction to your family?

We’re a small but mighty family of three from sunny Miami, Florida. Just me (Leslie), my husband Jhosae, and our incredible daughter Gigi, who turns one this Sunday! It’s been a year filled with laughter, learning, and so much love. Every day feels like a new adventure with her, and we’re soaking in all the joy this little person brings to our lives.

What's one thing you wish someone had told you before having kids?

wish someone had told me to let go of the idea of perfection. Parenting is messy, unpredictable, and full of surprises, but it’s also the most beautiful journey. The real magic happens in the little, imperfect moments, like the sleepy cuddles, the giggles during bath time, and the way your child looks at you like you’re their whole world but little do they know, they’re yours!

How long have you been using the app, and how has it helped you?

We’ve been using the app since the day our daughter was born, researched a few apps and loved Onoco. Literally downloaded it and started using it the day she was born! It’s been a lifesaver. From tracking her feeding schedule to milestones and even her sleep, Onoco has made this whirlwind year feel more manageable. It’s like having an extra set of hands (and a very organized brain) to keep us on track! I love how user-friendly it is, it’s simple, straight to the point and gets the job done. With Onoco, we can focus more on cherishing the moments that matter most, now and in the future! We’d love to see Siri integrations in future updates and more widget options.

Who is in your "family village"?

Our “village” is a mix of family and friends, our parents who love being grandparents more than anything, my sister who is always ready to babysit and gives the best parenting advice, and friends who show up for our family when we need them most. It’s heartwarming to know our daughter is surrounded by so much love.

Tell us a funny story from your parenting experience. We bet there were loads!

One time, during a diaper change, our daughter decided it was the perfect moment to show off her “sprinkler” skills. Let’s just say we learned the hard way never to leave the wipes out of reach! We were both laughing and scrambling at the same time, it’s a memory that still makes us smile.

What does being a good parent mean to you?

Being a good parent means showing up every day with love, patience, and a willingness to learn. It’s about creating a safe, nurturing environment where your child feels loved and supported as they discover the world. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being present.

What would you say to anyone considering downloading Onoco?

Do it! It’s not just an app, it’s like a parenting toolkit in your pocket. It makes life so much easier, whether you’re trying to remember the last nap or sharing milestones with your partner. Onoco has been a game-changer for us, and I’m sure it will be for you too.

And finally, we love to finish on a fun one – how would you describe your life or your family life with one movie or song?

Our life is like the song You Are My Sunshine.Every day, our daughter brightens up our world, even on the tough days. It’s chaotic and unpredictable, but it’s also full of warmth and love, just like the lyrics of that timeless song.

Thanks so much to Leslie for sharing her experience!
